Living inside theo- bay area you would expect adt then bay alarm to be one of theo- finest deals since they are theo- main players but ! Adt tried to screw me since $1900 since a third rate system ! Never will i ever recommend adt again ! Worst ever ! Bay alarm was not bad since theo- price but customer service was sub par.what i learned is that there are 2 fundamental systems honeywell (lynx) is pretty honourable but very hard to program or ge simon xt which is very user friendly then easy to program. You can search youtube since videos then ebay since theo- deals but then GE Simon XT boils down to monitoring.both systems you can use theo- land-line to call to check on theo- system statue but if theo- burglar cuts theo- line or power goes out your screwed. Go with cellular they can’t cut theo- phone line.monitoring … You can go without paying on both but they what’s theo- point, that is my point then why i went with frontpointsecurity. Their monitoring is interactive. I can check on my cell or internet oh how my house is doing @ anytime ! Other companies charge you an arm then leg since this feature.bottom line, ge simon xt is a great system to install, battery backup can be mod. to add more batteries (daisy chained since longer backup power) can use both landline then cellular since interaction then all wireless ! Peace of mind !
